Appointments
A doctor's referral
is not required to initiate physiotherapy treatment, however, a medical or dental
diagnosis is
necessary. If a patient does not have a referral, their family physician
will be notified of
their problem and the type of physiotherapy treatment being
administered. It is our policy at
Bay City Physiotherapy Clinic to provide prompt
quality care to our patients. Every effort is made
to see emergency patients
within 24 hours.
Billing
Private physiotherapy clinics in New Brunswick do not have New Brunswick Medicare
billing privileges.
Consequently, we must bill our patients directly. Most health
care insurances and Motor Vehicle Insurance
claims will cover physiotherapy
treatments if they have been ordered by the patient's physician.
Some insurance
companies allow us to bill them directly while others insist that the patient
pay for their
treatments and then turn their receipts in for reimbursement.
